I agree with you on many points ..

I think we view religion alike in many ways. I agree that many religious people do get over zealous and never shut up or just dont know when to quit trying to convert someone over to their religion. The only thing that bothers me is those people who feel that god is unjust or cruel. There are so many examples I could give, but I wont get that far into it.

I also think no matter what religion we are in, there are many unbalanced people who take it too far or are just not balanced in how they allow religion to rule their lives. I concider myself well balanced and I certainly dont bore people who arent interested in anything I have to say about my beliefs unless they have a question or really want to know. Most people know my stand and come to me. Your blog inspired me to write my last blog, but it wasnt just yours alone. If you read some of the other blogs and their opinions, in which we all have that right, you will find there are alot of mixed emotions on God and Religion. I took the time to read yours, theirs and wrote my own. Please dont be offended. Thats what blogging is all about. Thanks again for sharing it with us and for taking the time to view mine and leave comments. I dont expect to always get positive comments. The others also give me something to think about and another angle to view things from as well.

I have not claimed that all who are religious are weak. I have just seen a pattern. I have known people who were not weak that have 'found God'. They are normally the most annoying because they get the most upset when I question them about it.
Although most people I have known who have been born again have fallen into two categories.

1. They are troubled people. They've been abused or have had drugs problems and need to get out of the bottom of the barrel somehow and religion is what they have found.

At one level I am all for this. If ti helps them get their lives on track then it is a good thing. I am just tired of them thinking I need it as well.

2. People who are not very bright and weak willed who are just tired of the way their life is going. They think that God can change it all for them just by them believing in him.

These are the ones that really bother me. They get into strongly for a very short time and start thinking all these weird things about what will happen for them just because they have 'found God'. Their lives do not change and they soon go back ot their old habits, forgetting they ever 'found God'.

One of the best friends I have in the world is Catholic. We have many times talked about our beliefs. He was raised with the church and I find him very intelligent. He has even said that the church teaches people not to listen to other's views about religion. But he does not run around telling me and everyone else they are wrong and need to change their ways. That makes me have all the more respect for him.

You have very negitive views of God, and it makes me curious as to why...
Please take a moment and check out my blog on "For all those who have an Opinion on God". I think you will find it interesting. And just for the record, I have read your blogs, and I am far from weak and I am mentally stable and quite attractive as well. Nobody caught me at my weakest moment, I was just curious, and really wanted to believe that there was a creator or a higher being that cared about mankind and who had a purpose. I did alot of research and study and was confirmed in my belief. Please read my blog. Id be interested in your view afterwards. Thanks.. de.
