As well they should, callista. This act was senseless and
verges on sociopathy or psychopathy. However, it may be neither. Simply a premeditated means to some unknown end that only this bastard understands. But bet me his defense will be insanity, drug induced or facilitated...

saul, I am like you there are no words or understanding how someone could
have done this. They are still searching for one body, one little girl. i pray they find her.
They were beautiful children and his wife looks but a child herself, he is showing no signs of shame when the cameras are around he stares them down. my emotions run high when i hear about these things.

Maybe, Wavy. Maybe not. One isn't necessarily mentally ill if they take
drugs. However, drugs can help trigger some psychopathies, exacerbate others. But sociopathy is hardwired, not learned. Drugs have no impact upon whether or not a person is sociopathic, but that does not mean that sociopaths do not use drugs.

Who knows, sam? We need a motive, not just the fact that he was
pissed at his wife. There's more to this than that... Either that or he truly is a sociopath...

You never know, TAPS. Some people are born sociopathic. Then there are
those who do things out of desperation or hate. Drugs are a facilitator, most times used as an excuse. Rarely are they so mind-altering that the person "under the influence" loses their ability to reason. Drugs or no, this was a coldly calculated. Note that this guy just hours later provided his wife and the police with the lie concerning the girlfriend. No, I don't blame drugs, even if the bastard was high as hell...

How could the drugs not play a part in it? That's not something that a man in his right mind would do.
