Re: Re: Wow, That's Funny by RedStatesMan

When I pick up my son from school everyday, I notice things. Last month I see the marquee that is affixed to the outside wall, December 20 - January 1 Winter Holiday instead of Christmas Vacation. This one, of many, examples does not make me jump to the conclusion that Chrisitans are taking control of our school system.

When I attended church last Sunday, I must have missed the meeting on "How we can and will take over America". As a matter of fact, I have missed all of those meetings because they do not exist.

I find it hard to believe that a true Christian Republican would support the shackling of law enforcement and gambling, however, I do know that some denominations do have a liberal policy on gambling.

I like how you stated the your 'counter measures' would be peaceful at FIRST. Now you know that you can not turn to violence because that would be completely against your liberal beliefs. Funny how you would sya that against Christians but if it was another religion who was actually trying and wanting to kill you then you are receptive to them. Typical liberalism, contradictory.

Actually, RSM and Corbin, this is so close to occurring.  Fundamentalist Christian groups have already taken over school districts and attempted to mold policy to their religious views, as I have said.

State and local lawmakers have passed laws that are religious-based, such as certain laws that affect homosexuals adversely.

Used to be "Blue Laws", limiting commercial activity on Sunday; but these have mainly been discarded, thankfully.  Now of course, our good Republican and Christian legislators (I am thinking Missouri of course) have allowed gambling interests to become stronger (to bolster the economy of course), and shackled law enforcement with various laws such as allowing cars to have darkened windows so police can't see in, or allow concealed weapons, so that police don't know if the weapon on an individual is legal or not, hoping that he will not use it.

But a part of the point I make is that, should the Religious Right gain power, we should see laws enacted to restrict religion by favoring Christianity over non-Christianity.  In this case, we should see that 25% of non-Christians take counter measures.

And I will be among the first to join in such counter measures.  Of course, it will be peaceful at first, attempts to change laws, court actions, etc., whatever is within the law.

But if we have ourselves a religiously repressive government, and the constitution is trashed by Christians, then it is the responsibility of those who truly honor our constitution to uphold it when Christians have usurped it and brought it to being powerless.

Wow, That's Funny
And the atheist say Christians are paranoid about losing their freedom of religion and having God taken out of this nation completely! Looks like someone else is paranoid about something that doesn't exist.

Xeno
I thought we were already engaged in a 'religious war'...isn't it all about Bush and his Christian-dumb? Isn't this why Mitt Rmney is being zeroed in on for his religious beliefs...which have no place in politics...ooops, I guess it has everything to do with politics...emphasis on 'ticks.'
