There are a lot of bright-eyed raccoons around here at night.  Those eyes really glow when your car lights shine on them.

There used to be so many night eyes along the highways,

country roads, really, when Mom would drive us home from a visit to Grandma Lucy's of an evening. I see why you mentioned stars.  BTW, I love that Eddie Rabbit song. Very nice tie in to your verse. Is Haiku verse?  no matter.   Nice images in the words and pics. :)pat
