Everyone has an important role to play. Sometimes it's a matter of finding the right niche. A good leader knows how to be at service. He or she delegates but doesn't boss people around. People should not be treated as indespensible nor should they treated like they are disposable. Leaders need to know when to ask for help. People should tell when they can assist or they cannot assist or in what other way they can assist.
People procrastinate for different reasons. The main reason is fear. Another reason is not understanding what needs to be done or why it needs to be done. Another reason is that the particular job at hand doesn't seem like a priority to that person. Give the right job to the right person, and they will all be happy.

I don't know
I am beginning to find it frustrating. I have taught for a long time. Procrastination seems to beset so many people. I have gotten to the stage where I just go insane because I can see people have so much potential and are afraid to use it.
Let me know if you find a solution,
Jo

Straightforward
It reminds me of mothers who make their children's beds for them all their life and do the dishes clean up because they fear the children won't do things right. Everyone must learn by trial and error. The indespensible person is robbing the others of that learning.

What's miserable is a marriage between a dragger and a pusher.
Or a dragger who won't move and a reluctant pusher who has to do it all. It would be so much easier if everyone could just see what needs doing and "git 'er done!"

I would say it's more of the indispensible people; they should learn to let go and let others do the job
