OK Marsi - I'll do my best to feed your need
so keep watching blog-rage in the coming days.
I think you positively love shocking people.
I think being discriminated against is like being treated like trash and I hope you don't like that and I don't think you do and what's more I doubt you'd stand for that.

Discernment
has a more pleasing sound than discrimination. However, the word discrimination has virtually been banned by the politically correct. We should discrimination (chose) carefully in many facets of our lives. What I think we need to do, Belle, is discriminate against lousy writing and muddled thinking, against hateful people and narcissistic attention seekers, against right and wrong, and against stupidity and foolishness. Then, as you say, they'll die from lack of attention. It's the free market of ideas, the law of the jungle, the survival of the fittest.

You know
You may very well be right. It's no secret among those who know me that I am an attention whore. Being such doesn't make my beliefs and standards any less thought out or validated within myself, though, and I'd like to think that seperates me from a lot of "my type".
Do you think that my beliefs are what they are due, in part, to their shock value? I need a shovel.

Scoop/Marsi .
People can write what they like but if we are discerning about what we read standards may even rise.
Marsi.. Thanks for your comment . It sounds more like you enjoy shocking people rather than being discriminated against. . That's ok ..it would be dull without a few shocks

Actually, I don't mind being discriminated against
and believe me, you, that I am ..every single day. My lifestyle's frowned upon by millions. Thousands directly let me know it, too. It only makes me stand stronger in my individuality and in my beliefs when I stop to look at myself from their point of view. I'm delighted that so many disagree and want nothing to do with me. I bring them a thought process that makes them stand stronger in their own beliefs. It's a win-win situation.
Myself? I disagree with things I believe to be wrong. I discrimate against things that I don't understand. With any luck at all, I'll continue to look into the things that I discriminate against and decide to either agree or disagree.
Make what sense of that you can. I'm still on my first cup of coffee.

Thanks Whim - did it already. Marsi,
It is certainly a bad thing for the one being discriminated against. But how can it be ok for some to discriminate against others?

It's diffcult, especially when dealing with the many opinions of such a diverse group, not to be discriminatory.
I don't think discrimination is always a bad thing. What I find ridiculous is the bandwagon that so many seem to jump on when someone holding a top ten blog discriminates against a particular person or ideal. Baaah.
