I often
wonder the same thing, about my kids. My daughter is sixteen but I love to watch her sleep, because it is the same face as when she was five....sniff sniff

My daughter used to throw temper tantrums and I remember the feeling you describe ~ just standing over her bed thinking how peaceful she looked. How could such a little person who raised hell all day look so innocent by night, I would think to myself.
