Thanks for your encouraging words. It helps a great deal to know that there are other people who is dealing with the same kind of problems and I welcome any advise from anyone who has been there! My son's therapists and paediatrician are positive that he'll adapt well in a mainstream school. The aftercare mother also said she is willing to help with any extra work that maybe needed.

BACK TO SCHOOL means a beginning of a new schooling year and time to set aside "an education fund."

My daughter, who has "profound" hearing loss, made it in the mainstream.  It was not without some additional work when she came home every day, keeping tabs on what was happening in the classroom, and maintaining a close relationship with her teachers.  Albeit it required a little more work or involvement on my part, she succeeded.  With your help and guidance your son will shine as well.
