influences of TV/Video games
I think TV has influenced children since the beginning of television. Ultimately, however, TV is not the problem; nor are video games or songs with graphically violent/sexual lyrics. The root of the problem is parenting. Parents and caregivers are relying on electronics to mind the children without tempering what they watch and/or play with some common sense conversation. Children/teens become desensitized to the impact of violence when they witness it hours on end.

Yes, yes, and yes.......
but the critical factor is when parents abdicate their "responsibility of parenting" to these outlets......

If parents weren't so busy and paid attention to what their kids
were doing more, it would help.  IMO
