"That's why there's so much hatred around the world and it's all because of religious beliefs" I couldn't agree w/ you more. Religion has done more to DIVIDE us than UNITE us.......that is why it is IMPERATIVE that we come up w/ better answers....and this can only happen through discussion.

That's a shame...
...that the subject cannot be discussed without ridicule from either side. That's why there's so much hatred around the world and it's all because of religious beliefs, I feel. I don't believe any God, from any religion, wants such discontent.

Atheism, on this site, is more about ridiculing believers than about presenting their alternative. I don't take them on anymore!!!!

Religion
Most religions want you to believe their way, but Christians especially are suppose to share the gospel with others and are to be found in the forefront of spreading the good news of a savior, so no one should be surprised to find them doing just that. It's the way in which this is done that brings all the trouble. God Bless and keep on writing...

Sam444 - thank you...
...because religion has always been a subject of much discussion with me. I'm always trying to find answers but I never want to lose my beliefs. If someone gives me good reasons for their disbeliefs, I can understand it even if I don't believe the same way. So I encourage discussion and am never afraid of a confrontation. God will always be in my life.

I believe in God. Spirituality is a personal journey. Those who do not embark on their own journey can never understand the Way as we do. However the reverse is true as well. I try to show my faith by my works and that eliminates the confrontation. I wish more folks could enjoy the faith we share. You open a topic for discussion, that is a sign of good writing for me. sam

Now I have the opposite view..
because it's the non-believers that's always trying to shove things down people's throats, I believe. I just like a good conversation, that's all. I do not like conflicts of any kind and didn't mean to suggest such a thing. That's just the way I talk. Sorry, if I offended you.

I don't like battles and so it's a no-go here with me. I will just say that I firmly believe in 'live and let live.' I believe in peace and love and I find that it is the 'Believers' that are always shoving their 'truths' down my throat and they always seem so adamant and angry about it too. My relationship with the Lord or anybody for that matter is a personal and private matter.
