Re: Ann_Onimous
I blanch them until the colours turn deeper and that's when they taste best - nice and crispy. They taste better than the ham too.

Those veggies sure don't look leftover.  What fresh beautiful colors.  Great combo for a little leftover ham.

Re: lustorlove
I forgot about some of those things, I am going to make a fruit salad and have a veggie plate but I might get some eggs and those small sauges

Some easy suggestions --

* barbecued spare ribs

* small sausages (we call them prinskorv) - boiled or fried

* pickled herring served with boiled potatoes and rye bread

* smoked salmon

* hardboiled egg halves filled with cheese: mash the yolks together with cheese-in-a-tube (choice of flavours), then fill the egg halves.

HAPPY NEW YEAR and enjoy the day with your family.

when I bought the ham I thought it looked so small it wasn't as small as I thought, and on New Year day I have to cook for the other half of my family, now what do I serve them.  One thing will be my Americanized Swedish Meatballs, but what else do I serve?
