Offy,
Sometimes I am REALLY glad I was adopted!!! hehe But I do know my birthfather was 100% Native American and my birthmother was 1/4 Native American, 1/4 English, and 1/2 Irish. I was raised Jewish and I am a witch. So......I'm a typical American mutt.

Quite a conglomeration in my history.  Its all quite fascinating.   I can remember when my Gma used to complain and accuse my Gpa of being KKK because he came from a long line of freemasons and kept all that Masonic secret stuff from her.

You are not your g/g/grandmother. It is fun to find the good bits and pieces but not the bad to go with it is it.

Offy, I've been doing the genealogy thing for a few years now
Uncovering secrets of the past only reveals more mystery. Yes I write about the stories of my ancestors as told by my Kin. Interesting to note A great great uncle of mine from the  my great great garndfathers first family was a big muckety muck in the Klan in South Georgia back in the 1800's. The family members in GG grandfather's 2nd family living in North Georgia had no use for the Klan. I took what information I found from a cousin's work from the 1960's (30 sheets) and it has expanded to well over 500 sheets and I still haven't finished with the research. It's addictive. With every piece of info another story is born. Feel lucky a family member finds the work important enough to work with. Stay warm

Can you imagine the uproar if one's whole family got together,

in all its generations...? Far enough back, the Hatfields and McCoys were probably all one family, too...

Good afternoon, Offy hon
We're all Irish, more or less, especially on St. Pat's Day, LOL! The KKK thing, on the other hand, is of course less pleasant, but don't let it spoil your day! We are not responsible for the sins of our ancestors, even if History and the Bible want to suggest we are...

Don't feel bad. The British Librarian found out she's a descendant of

Henry the 8th and loves going around singing:

I'm Henry the eighth I am
Henry the eighth I am, I am
I got married to the widow next door
She's been married seven times before
And every one was an Henry (Henry)
She wouldn't have a Willy or a Sam (no Sam)
I'm her eighth old man, I'm Henry
Henry the eighth I am

Second verse same as the first I'm Henry the eighth I am LOL

As for my anscestry...I don't know...I come from Italy but some say we may actually be Greek!

Wow..KKK? That would be a shock.
MY dad's side came from Poland and moved to NY. My Mom's side was Italian and moved to Ohio.  LOL
