saul_relative - I looked at the feature a bit more closely and as much as I

hate to be negative to new ideas, this one has its shortcomings.

In terms of being on the cusp of state of the art article marketing, this feature is to article marketing what bicycles are to long distance travel. It is crude and limited, to further limit the market to just Blogit members is not a great idea, I cannot see this feature being of much value. Unless of course people can think of new and creative ways to use it. . . which will be the topic of my next post on this subject.

Yeah, gomedome, I at first thought it was simply a new formatting
style.  It took me a few days to actually look at it and see what it was.  I was a bit surprised.

After reading the information in the community page (the link to which now appears in this post) . . . I see a 3/4 baked plan. Which of course is much better than 1/2 baked. After landing on the listing (items for sale) page and not having anything for sale, I haven't progressed to the next page. I am assuming that this next page facilitates the upload of the goods for sale and provides secure goods delivery upon PayPal IPN. If it does, this is a decent deal at 15% commission. If it does not facilitate secure digital goods delivery, I would wonder why we would pay a 15% commission on something that we have done ourselves in the past without cost? The same goes for the idea of selling off of Blogit.

Selling to non Blogit members should not even be a discussion. It can so easily be left as a choice via a checkbox option at the time of listing the goods for sale. If this is truly "The Online Writers Marketplace" . . . let's do a little marketing for pete's sake.

Here we go again..

I personally think it's silly, as I'd be afraid half the content I buy
would be regurgitated emails that I can see for free.  Why would I bother buying them?  (this has been a blaringly opinionated response from the Fine Young Singer.)

That's a new one on me.

I just discovered it yesterday, thanks to Blackcat writing about it...had
no real idea about what it was until I listed an item...you can sell ebooks, etc. and Blogit takes 15%...my question is, are we just selling to other members??

I was also wondering about that

gome, you can now sell your poems, articles, e-books, on blogit now.

I guess they are trying to turn it into more of a "writers marketplace"?

That's not a bad thing but I think maybe they could have made a seperate site for that.  Like their sister site. Not sure if I like the idea of having the new feature right here on Blogit.

Gomedome...I hadn't heard of this new feature yet
but I did hear rumor of a new Blogit library...hmmm wonder how long before I'll be able to order Blogit takeout...?
