It's a sad state of affairs, Damond. There is an unfortunate amount of
this kind of behavior.

How Much Indeed?

There wasn't enough money in the world to buy one of my kids when they were small, and there isn't enough now to buy one of my grandkids.  I pity the person that should try--especailly if he/she were serious.  I probably wouldn't wait to see what the law would do, as I am not fully trusting of the law anyway.  I fear that I would take it into my own hands and deal out my own brand of justice by my own hands.

I didn't hear about this, but I do thank you for posting it.

Probably, A-and-B. But you wanna bet they go for incapacity of some
sort?  Drugs, momentary insanity, drunkenness, parental apathy, post partem (on her part, sympathetic post partem on his).  Bastards...

Saul_Relative: A sweet baby is priceless.  You can't or never should put a price on a human being.  I hope the baby ends up in a loving home.

Saul

Generally, I really make an effort to 'see' things from the other's point of view, and I sometimes succeed. But no matter how hard I try, I can't 'think' myself into the minds of these people...

But I do wish you a Merry Christmas, and lay off those squirrels...

Of course this makes me think of the week I spent with my precious tiny granddaughter in Florida and it gives me shivers to think that anyone could do such a thing to a helpless little one.  Many blessing of peace and joy wished to you on this Beautiful Christmas morning whether you celebrate the day with rum or with traditions or not at all.

There is that, draco, small consolation that it is.

Ah, Justi, but maybe a judge with your indignation would hand down a
sentence these two degenerates deserve...

That is the lowest. Well one died last week from having been kicked so hard in the stomach by a boyfriend of the child's mother. I don't understand the inhumanity in some people. The violence is not new either but I do think it is worse or there are just so many more of us. To sell a child for any price is beyond comprehension but for $30 stupid dollars I hope both of them stay in jail forever. I apologize I just got angry, I am not their judge, but that little child deserves so much better.
