They are sensible people too and we are very proud of them. The queen will be 64 on Sunday and still beautiful. She was one of the hostesses at the 1972 Olympics in Munich where she caught the eye of our king.

Re: Ann
Our men are well-trained, Naut ... and that goes for the king as well. With a half-German queen in his palace there's got to be Recht und Ordnung with or without a TV crew.

What a beautiful family.  It was a joy to watch them work and interact with each other.

The kids are gorgeous, the Queen is beautiful, and the only one actually working was the King...But there is one important difference between them and other Swedish households: no one else would have a TV crew in the kitchen when they're making their sausages...

The julkorv (Christmas sausage) is one of the items on the Christmas smorgasbord. It is spiced with peppar, cloves and ginger. You're right, most people buy them nowadays. But traditionalists still insist on making their own and grannies like to show their grandchildren what they did when they were young. In the past, a family would slaughter a pig for Christmas. The ham is the centerpiece and the rest of the pig is made into sausages and patés and what have you.

Ann I look forward to watching it although I can't right now because I am running scan too...Why do you make sausage when you can go to the store and buy 30 different kinds? Tell me more about this tradition of making sausage....why do they do it? I mean is it good luck like our kraut is on New Years Eve?
