Easy. I open my current work, put my fingers on the keyboard and let it rip. I have found that structural software (especially those that provide OUTLINING or other organizational assists) distracting and an impediment to writing. The key to getting in the zone is to arrive at your work on a regular basis and write a minimum of 2,000 words and a maximum of 4,000 words with no interruption, not even to pee. Anything short of that is OUT of the ZONE. You can allow some music to play, and DO bring with you a head full of whatever you've been reading, as any writer worth their salt reads a minumum of 4 hours a day, no excuses accepted. You can even read while waiting for the light to change.
