I think its a wonderful present.  I have been the recipient of such a gift and I adored it/still do.  One of my sisters did that for me and it was such fun receiving it.

Sounds fabulous, and brings back millions of memories...I used to like my music loud - the problem is, now it has to be loud...

I think it sounds like a great gift. Like you said it was a great time to live during the birth and heighth of rock and roll. I can hear a song and tell you exactly where and what was going on in my life while it was popular. Like you I have met too many boys in the band and thank Gawd I only woke up next to one of them...Oh those were the days my friend!!!!....Love, ST

There's a new album by the Eagles.
Available exclusively at Wal-Mart -- but I saw a preview of it on PBS. They've still got that guitar power and the harmony thing going, but I haven't actually listened to the whole thing. You didn't mention the Eagles, but what a journey you've had!  "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." and in some of my fogey moments I think kids today have missed out on the real music. CDs aside, digitized and perfected and all, there's no comparison to being there at a live performance, in the crowd, feeling the vibes in person. Rock on!
