Re:
Growler: Unfortunately, you're right but the game suffers in the processs.  I'm talking about the ''integrity'' of the game.  It's the Comissioner's favorite phrase.

WavyDavy, as we all know, baseball is always reactive not proactive.  And no one wants to punish anyone, because they would all have to come clean from the Commissioner on down.

The Mitchell Report
Growler: What is the point of conducting an investigation if no one is going to be punished?  I know that rules weren't in place at the time but that doesn't justify it in my book.  I admire Rickey Henderson and Eddie Murray more now.  They achieved their Hall of Fame credentials without substances.

They all have, but Bonds has taken the most through the media.  I don't feel sorry for any of them.  They made their money and no report can change that.

Yes Clemens has been protected.

So has Bonds.

Clemens has been protected from the beginning despite mounting evidence.  I don't remember him taking the brunt for anything.  I don't want the book thrown at anyone.  Baseball made its bed.  Lay in it. Besides, Canseco at least has been telling the truth.

In a way it is good because maybe it will show people just how
overrated pro ballers are and that they are not the heroes that they are cracked up to be.

Sports fanaticism is counter productive in many ways.

Roger seems  to take the brunt end with every little scratch that MLB gets itself>>>let's not forget that Canseco had an assist on a home run when he played>>then he wrote a tell all book, I know where we should throw the book first >>>>>>sam
