I could move right on and read the next part but I think I will mull on this one just a bit first.  I'm glad that you realize that your work could be dangerous to you in certain situations.  I also am glad that you are sharing it with us.

Thanks, Wavy. There are a lot of things Hitchens doesn't understand! As to publishing this - well, these are just more or less casual posts, and as I said to Corbin, it would require a lot of work. First I would have to decide whether this should be a 'popular' or an academic book, but in either case, it would mean expanding on many areas, re-writing much, documenting a lot, providing background, and on and on, and I haven't got the time for it, really.

Nautikos: Hitchens is a hardcore atheist so anything even relating remotely to religion is pathological.  If you want to, you should try to get this series published.

I've been following that case, Corbin. It's isolated only in that the girl was killed, but beatings and such are frequent!

And as far as publishing this stuff is concerned, well, can you imagine the amount of WORK I'd have to put into this?

whay you shouldn't put this series together for publication.....

As to your final statements...if you permit me a "distraction of a comment"......I just saw where a 16 year old Canadian Muslim girl was choked to death by her father for not wearing a hijab....so you are in a hotbed up there.......
