His birthday is this Friday.  We just always have his party earlier in the month because this close to Christmas there is just too much going on.

Both of my nieces' birthdays are right around Christmas, and since our boy is the oldest, we already laid claim to the beginning of the month. That means my sister has to have her parties in early to mid January.

When was your son's birthday? And a belated happy birthday I must say. I'm curious because my youngest was born on Dec. 8th

Well, where to start?  I collect action figures, mostly Star Wars, but there are many, many others.  I also collect Star Wars in general, and I got a lot of interesting pieces. My son showed them my collection of costume weapons.  Of course there is my model train-set down here.  I collect some of the Lego collections.  I have lots and lots of games.

I collect books, comics and movies as well, but those were not the ones that the boys wanted to get into.  I am something of a packrat and so there is a lot of stuff down here.

Perhaps I missed something but what are the "collections" you have in your basement, I'm as curious as a child to know.

When my children were young I never allowed them sleep over, never understood the concept of sleeping in another's bed 'unless' you were an adult. I mean I missed enough sleep as it was being a mom etc. But now my children are grown and my daughter has kids of her own and 'sleep-overs' are very prevalent in her house. Funny how are children try their best not to be their parents. AND sometimes that may be a good thing
