As my Ex Husband Use TO say
A better life through chemistry-- little did I know that he was addicted to prescription pain medication.
I hope that all goes well for you! I hope that the new medication will give you the results that you are hoping for. Keep REading laughing and Smiling

I'm not a huge fan of medication, Jemmie, no matter the diagnosis. I am
for treatment and therapy (and there are many forms of such).

jemz, in spite of your beliefs, you always survive, stand up and move on.
Or, well, you do know that you are stronger than you write. Sorry about Thanksgiving
I wish that there were a huge hugging circle around you, rocking and singing to you, a friendship healing circle.
I send that to you, to help.

I abhor unsolicited advice, but it doesn't stop me from handing it out, sorry :) A few years ago I went through a period of intense depression and self-destructive behaviour. This was triggered by many things. I don't think it was as serious as PTSD - at least, my reasons were nowhere near as important as yours - but I just wanted to talk of something that helped me then (my psychiatrist did help, as did the medication but I was terrified of getting addicted to the stuff, so was looking for something else): Ayurveda. If you haven't heard of this before, it's an ancient form of holistic medicine that originated in Kerala, India. It was not a convenient or easy form of healing (what is?), but it helped me immensely at the time. Just thought I'd mention it, in case it helps you.
