I agree with the socialization aspect, Chyrlann. But I like my hard
science fiction a little less fluffy. I don't mind romantic interests and such, just keep the high school, hate them now, love them now, hate them now, lover them now rollercoaster of your typical romance novel out of it. It's immature and detracts from the literature. Besides, it's just bad writing...
