RedStatesMan,
Thanks for the great comment. I am not suggesting we go into a shell though. We still need to have a presence around the world to guard our interests and the interests of all peace loving peoples. I just think the locals can do the dirty work. We will help them but not fight for them. We did our duty for the people of Iraq and they need to step up. I think we would know from the outcome of how things went in Iraq how the bad guys were doing. If things were not to our liking we could go back. Only we would need to do it right this time. We have never done the job in Iraq and we have gone twice.

Keep Them Home?

As I read this post, my first thought was that of Pat Buchanan. I remember the 1992 presidential campaign, of which I supported Pat Buchanan in the primaries. I remember how the liberal media protrayed him as an isolationist. Fast forward to 2007 and you will find many people of this nation championing the same ideas of pulling our troops from all corners of the globe in order to be politically popular. My, my how things change.

I understand where Sarooster is coming from here but I can't help but think of Ron Paul and others who desire to pull out of the world and go into our shell, to defend from a distance. Saroosters' thought was pleasing, well intended and from actual experience on the front lines, if you will. I would like to applaud Sarooster helping our troops and not taking the Hanoi Jane or today's approach of Code Pink or Commie Pink as I like to refer to that organization. Great job Sarooster on helping, listening to our troops and above all supporting them.

Just remember that terrorist see this war going on forever. We must take it to them on their own land and not sit back and wait until they attack us again. I beg to differ with your conclusion. I applaud your patriotism and your actions!
