HAHAHA! I've done that before!!!!
I've ruined entire pots of chili; spaghetti sauce; brownies; cakes; bacon; just because I get involved in something else and lose track of time....I killed bacon by getting all wrapped up in trying to scrub a stain out of a shirt.

Oh no katray!!
Must have been an awful mess! Those kind of things happen to me
too often too..in fact I was downloading photos a few mins ago and
wondered what the sound of rumbling water was...I forgot about it right
away and then a few mins later I thought I should investigate. I
had put eggs on to boil and now the house smells like burnt eggs!
Ugh! Not as much of a mess to clean up as you've had! Happy
Thanksgiving to you...your soup will be yummy I'm sure!
