my brother knows pretty much all the sinefelds by heart and whenever we go hiking, whether we're talking about politics or work or people there is inevitably a reference made to sinefeld and then he will usually procede to go through the entire episode. He is always good at telling stories and therefore i get all of the humor in the episode condensed. I know several episodes fairly well that i have never seen simply because he's run through them for me several times. Once he's infected however he pretty much has to go through the whole thing, which is fine because its always amusing. Watching the show can be less than amusing. Almost none of the jokes are funny in and of themselves, but the humor is largely cummulative, that is situational, and the episode tends to get more amusing as it goes even though the jokes are just as bad. It is also has a Simpson's like satire that is spread out over the entire episode. The show is very flat on the surface but once it hits your funny bone it becomes infectious in a way that could almost endure as fable. Anyhow, i felt i had to defend my brother's honor and drop a good word for an ohterwise extremely dull comedian.

typo
that should have said "NOT directly targeting me..."

I knew we were ideologically on different poles
but now this?  An attack of my sense of humor?  I know you were directly targeting me, but apart from the morally bankrupt quality of the show (or perhaps partly because of the profound truth in that), Seinfeld was the most brilliant comedy to ever capture the irony of our petty little lives.

The main reason it probably did not appeal to you
