I'm with the writers tigerprincess...
..I'd go out and support them too. They are getting a lousy deal
right now. But hey...I thought we'd all be filthy rich
someday?? Haha! Kidding!

My ex-brother-in-law is also and ex-TV-sitcom writer. I was written into a couple of his scripts (not under my real name of course) way back when
Fantasy Island and
Starsky & Hutch were prime time. He definitely did not get rich from that. HAHA. In fact, he would have had to make a living some way besides writing if he wasn't living off of an inheritance from a wealthy mother.

Yes tigerprincess, it takes guts to strike
and it takes guts to live as a writer because one knows they will likely never be rich. Rich? Most writers live on a tiny amount of money and have to find the self belief to stay the course.

I understand....
as well about why the writers are striking. I think they should be compensated for all the extra mediums out there that broadcast their works. I hope this does change how things work for them.
