Re: Kooka
Your list of religions is only the tip of the iceberg.  Personally I think they all started out as someone realizing that there is more to life than what they themselves understood to be the understanding of their peers in the language of their time.  Try for yourself to explain reality as you perceive it to be in your own language and you will realize that nobody with however many words can ever capture all of it in one sensible definition.  So we use a word, God, and warn people not to bring to mind any limited image of something or other specific when using this word, since the whole infinite all and everything is wherein all "things" exist and therefore not any particular thing itself.  Those who believe that there is a thing or person called God are called "idol worshippers", even in the Bible.  If you scrape away all the misunderstandings and cultural biases in these many religions, you will find a core that is really beyond words.  Logic, Reason and words are tools normally used to manipulate real life in accordance with our desires and nothing more.  Will, intent, emotion, consciousness; al these non-logical phenomena we know to be real, does not obey the "rules" of logic and reason.  Whoever thinks that Logic and Reason are the only means to understanding is a fool.  We can replace them with computers for they really have no other use in society.  Nobody has to explain real life to anybody.  You simply have to live it and chuck away all your preconceptions about it to wake up to its immense wonder.  That wich is really real is the only God worthy of any attention whatsoever.  I have to stop myself at this point before I write you a book about that which you are immersed in anyway.  Pardon the lenghty rambling .

Wow, that's the only religion so far I haven't looked into. I just finished the Jehovah Witnesses, went through Catholicism, Judaim, Islam, and others. A lot of reading and a lot of information. Tell me something, have you looked into the Astral Planes yet? Now that is something I can believe in. It makes very good sense to me. Oh well, something else to consider:)

I am always willing to explore new ideas myself.  In fact while I was down here blogger some Mormons came to the door and gave my wife a copy of the Book of Mormon'.  I do plan to read through it when I have the time.  Should be interesting to see what it has to say.

Amen and well spoken. My sentiments exactly. That's how I feel when I speak on something. I try to defend my beliefs also. So look, already we have something in common. As a matter of fact, from further readings, I not only believe in one God, I believe in all the Gods. Now what do you think about that? I love Greek Mythology and all the others too because it makes so much sense to me. The Gods had more power than any human being ever had. So they might have been called Gods back in the day because they were super humans in essence. They could have been alien humans. I willing to check it all out. Are you?

I don't thank I am obsessing in the least.  Doing these blogs does not take away form my real life and is not something I feel I need to do in an addictive manner.  I write what I write to try and get debate going.  A lot of this I see as a tool to help me write better by working on expressing my ideas and thoughts clearly.

Of course I am trying to prove my point, we all are when we talk about our beliefs.  I don't believe for one moment that I will convert people through this, but I am going to state the information I have that defends my beliefs in order to show people why I believe as I do.

I didn't mean lighten up concerning the video...
...I meant lighten up on this "religious" thing you have. You seem to be obsessed with trying to prove your point and that's kind of hard to do when people continue to harbor their own beliefs, don't you think? I personally think you are a great guy and I love conversing with you.

Happy new years to you as well

Why do so many people here on Blogit think I need to lighten up?  Those who know me personally have asked how I can be so relaxed and easy going.

I thought the video made a good point through sarcasm. If you really had an issue with the video, it might be you who needs to 'lighten up' a little.

Maybe god blablabla

What a joke!

Science can neither prove or disprove a belief. If god exists, he(she)is everywhere and you can not have a standart without it for comparison, and if he(she)doesn't exits, you can have a comparative environment with it.
