Consider it done.  After all, I'll need some friendly guides if I ever make it across the big pond again.

Thank you for filling me in about Dave.  I am dismayed, to say the least, about the whole situation.  To find Dave is banned was quite a shock.  Equally dismaying is the fact that you are leaving and that others have left.  I would very much like to keep in touch with both of you.  I'll email you over the weekend.  Feel free to contact me at any time.  I can't afford to loose touch with talents such as yours and Dave's.

Thank you, sir, for your kind reception to my effort.  I hope to have work properly balanced out, and a laptop that continues to function, so that I may pay a return visit soon.

Notapoet! You return to a wasteland, scorched earth.

Yes, Dave was banned and many of his friends have already left in sympathy. I'm leaving in a few days' time. Some people got together (no-one's admitting to it of course) and complained about him posting numbers in his Infinity blog, altho it doesn't add up, because he was accused of spamming, which simply did not happen in that blog. In fact there was no spamming, and Blogit would not elaborate or justify the accusation. We didn't ask them to name the accusers, just to explain why he was banned, which they wouldn't do. Also, normally they send a warning to rule-breakers (assuming they have broken a rule) giving them a chance to change. After all, a blogger might not have intentionally broken a rule, even if another blogger accuses them of doing so. It might be one person's view against the blogger's view. But Dave was warned and then less than a day later was kicked off even tho he did change what they told him to change. Added to that, they deleted all his material yesterday before he'd had a chance to retrieve it. Lovely behaviour. So for these reasons, many people have felt disillusioned and there is clearly potential for this to happen to any of us. There is unequal treatment being meted out, and more attention is paid to some than to others.

You've emailed me before - feel free to email me again if you want to keep in touch!
