That means a great deal coming from you Wonky.
I do care about the writing blog - probably too much. WHAT AM I SAYING -its only a blog. The blogging blogs can be blogging boring so I have tried to use mine a look at human nature - and bloggers represent all forms of life are here. I was going to let the Seachange blog slide and post occasionally and then this morning I had a comment asking what happened next and now your comment so I am fired up again.

I am reading your backblogs to catch up on what I missed :) I don't think I've got the stamina or desire for the top ten anymore, as I don't want to write about blogging and that seems to be the thing to get attention these days; I don't seem to have the enthusiasm for it anymore, but I'm sure it'll come back one day :) Hopefully, at least :) I am most thrilled that your excellent Writer blog is in the top ten, though, as that and Seachange have always been my favourites of yours, and hope it will stay right where it is :)

Thank you Sassy - I appreciate your comment about the blog and life
You have a great many different posts and this makes it difficult for your readers to keep track. May I make a suggestion that you create an all purpose blog where you put all of the day to day and entertaining stuff. Give it a general topic and name and stick it in everything else. It would be in the style of Life with Ariala - see how A puts all sorts of things into that blog. You could actually repost quite a few things there - as you have some entertaining posts which people would enjoy again or for the first time.
Then have a few other blogs for very specific or serious topics. I am sure this would help your rankings and build a stronger following. That's my opinion - I may be wronger
I noticed that your writing flows better when you are doing the lighter stuff. Naturally you are more anxious about some topics which make them more difficult to write. Best BB

Rankings
This is a great post, and I always click on the top bloggers posts. That's how I learn. I'm really not as obsessed about making it to the top 10 on the home page as I am seeing my earnings go up daily. I have noticed though, that in the writing category, I have stayed in the top 25. I'm really not so sure if that is that good though. I read about your recent set backs, and I am sorry. I just recently moved 3,000 miles, my husband was laid-off from an excellent job, I lost a few relatives much too close together to deal with, and I was forced to give up my business due to moving. My nearest relative is now almost 6 hours away, and my Mother was just diagnosed with cancer. I guess we all go through these things that we call life. The BN helps me to vent, and I'm glad its here.

Very kind of you to say. It has been a beautiful feeling to warm to this task and get into the flow of writing again.
You and a few others have set the standard.

Hi BB...Here's my schedule. First I check if I'm in the top 100, then not finding any of my four blogs, check the other top 100 list, then not finding any of my three blogs, I go to the section listings for some serious searching. Then, to get over my b
d mood, I read all of my blogs and laugh. I'm ready for some serious work. P.S. sometimes I read others than myself.

I'm stuck with rankings BB, but making sure I don't hit top ten...if I do, I will lie low...not the best blogging atmosphere here...I'm stuck in Brighton and it's very cold outside...and I'm doing this in an internet cafe...for a bloody Sunday this site is active...why don't you people do something...wash the car maybe...

I am not sure if more caffeine may be required.
Yes I love the atavistic talent here. Haven't you noticed I am always flattering people than seeking their advice here for free or at least for the price of a click.

Stay posted Harvey.
I'll share some trade secrets in upcoming posts.
I am not consciously doing anything to pump ratings but now that some of my blogs are up there I kinda like it.

If they don't make it through, they need to cut back on their caffeine.
Some folks are obsessed with ratings, some aren't, but how can you not look at them at least once in a while?
Many if not most of us who are in the top 100 blog about blogging and bloggers. Ergo, unless the only measure of worth is how well the blog grooms or flatters our egos as bloggers, we must be missing good material, sincere posts, because we spend our time in the blogging snadbox and not out there in the blogging forest where who knows what is lurking.

You have them hooked, Belle.
Bloggers are like actors. They fight crowds to get to the reviews hoping to find their names, even if the reviews are bad. They can't help themselves.
I've been meaning to ask you: How do you pump on ratings on BN anyway? I keep reading about it, but I don't have a clue how to go about it. Since I'm not consciously doing anything to improve my ratings, I'm surprised I have a few blogs near the top of their categories. I'm busting my backside to catch you in writing, but you're just too good. But I'll bet you knew that.

Top 10
I agree, BB - just because a blog is in the top 10 doesn't mean that the rest of the blogs on BN are no good; there are loads of blogs on here that are excellent reads, and I rarely read all the blogs that make it in the top ten cos I'm too busy reading the everybody else's work elsewhere on the site.
Oh, and great use of the ellipses...
