Ha!
I thought American's had cornered the market on commercializing X-mas. Let's all gag in unison as the Christmas marketing machine gears up earlier in earlier. It used to be everything was a go in the U.S. once Thanksgiving had passed. Now Halloween decorations (a hugely growing enterprise in itself) are sold side-by-side with Christmas decorations. AAAAAAarGH!

It's probably not the case but each year it seems as though shops drag our their Christmas stuff earlier and earlier.  Cringe.   What an enjoyable sonnets if only because I share your sentiments.
