I'm not too keen on any politician

ABC News: Edwards is Buzz Maker of the Week
Dems: Although I prefer Kucinich, Edwards or Obama have the most realistic chance of challenging Senator Clinton for the Democratic nomination.  The main thing for any of these challengers is winning Iowa.  Edwards, Obama, Richardson, Dodd or Biden have to win Iowa by 5% or more to put a significant hit into Clinton's candidacy.  If one of these candidates just sweaks by with a 1 or 2% win; it might not be enough to derail Clinton.  The political news media probably would only be impressed with a 5% win.

Re:
Your newest comment speaks for itself. Whether you wish to admit it or not. Thanks.

I didn't see my comment as flip...rather it was short and to the point. When you post in this category you can and should expect that there will be those who do not agree. I stand by my comment that all the Democratic candidates are less than desired. It's not rocket science to see none really rise above the other. The Dem pool is quite shallow.

If you believe John Edwards had a good week so be it. Maybe he had another $400.00 hair cut...

Re: Offy

Offy, I disagree. If you have a problem with all the candidates then I hope you are starting now to cultivate and support candidates who might run for president in 10 or 20 years. Start supporting the candidates that don't "stink" now if you have a problem with the candidate pool for President.

That said, I totally disagree with your comment that there's a problem with all of them. I think many of the candidates on the Democratic side are smart, articulate and committed to this country and its people. However, I think Hillary is not someone that I trust and while she is articulate and smart and talented, I feel that she is willing to change positions to become president and stay president. So for me, that overwhelms any good qualities she may have. Obama is inexperienced and too green for me to support him even though he can be a great orator at times and has charisma.

In contrast, John Edwards is sincere and committed to taking on big corporations and leading this country in fixing the problems that face us today: poverty, education, health care, our reputation in the world etc. Check out his website and try to go see him in person and you'll see why I'm a supporter.

The candidates are who they are. As an American, pick the one who speaks to you and support him or her. Play your part. And then work on improving the candidate pool in the future. But don't just dismiss all the candidates with what appears to be a somewhat flippant and easy remark. Thanks for reading.

Dems
I don't ever rely on mainstream media for news. And my support goes to Ron Paul. John Edwards attended a Bilderberger meeting around the last election. Maybe they want him. And, their media supports that. I don't!
