My Review:

Some funny stuff in here.

I liked your thinking right up to where you apologize to the "ozenheimers" sufferers.  What apology?  They think they're 8 again and they're lost in Never Never Land.  How bad could it be?  Move over Peter I want to play with Tinker Bell now.  Just keep your hands where I can see 'em.

Ok.  My advice.  When you write, you seem to have some inspirational beginning that gets you on the path to righteous craziness, but then your unique brand of weirdness gives way to, Oh God, I can hardly say it, normal.  Now, cut that out!  Two things happened:  one, you started talking shop and two, you let your train of thought get chopped up in the wake of all of those acronyms.  Yuh!

The whole point of your essay is about Memory Loss not ADHD or NHRA or NAFTA...whatever.  Its fun is in its flighty nature.  Its driving down the highway and suddenly flashing on a question, "where is my underwear?"  Memory loss is a fleeting, butterfly, deja vu kind of weirdness.  Check out my "About Me Page."  I also have a reference in my "God's New Website" blog.  I think its ok to laugh at funny things as long as they don't reduce our sensitivity to their real substance.  For example, your cancer is a mind bender for me because I never know how to handle it when someone tells me about that stuff.  The worst I ever did was break a rib and have my toe nails removed.  I should have asked what my ribs had to do with toes but what the hell, I'm not only old, I'm gullible.  In my demented way of thinking, your cancer becomes a reference point from which we can both laugh at my toes, ya think?  Or...Not.

I get the ADHD and Bi-Polar stuff.  My wife has worked with high needs families over the years, so I connect.  Not everyone does.  That doesn't mean you can't write about it and make it funny.

First rule: Dance with the one that brung ya.  If you can, stay on task (ADHD eh?)  Save any other off subject inspirations for other blogs/essays/whatever.

Second rule:  Bus riders need transfers, writers need transitions.  SOS.

1/2  Do something unusual, write something funny....Geez, I can't help it, its a kneejerk thing.
