Dave was the first person to comment on my work when I joined in October 2007. I received a number after that. He seemed the most active and I praised him. I supposed there is no way I could know what actually happened to him so that we could learn something from it. My sympathy for the loss of your friend.

Save our .Dave is right, Antonio! We want him back, Blogit.
It just flummoxes me that a business that is run like a busines can be so arbritrary in enforcing a rule against "spam', which his blog clearly wasn't, and leave bloggers (whose names I won't mention) to spew the most mean-spirited "religious" attacks and do nothing.
Also, that a business that is run for a profit can be so indifferent to the pleas of so many bloggers about someone like .Dave, who actually does do good for the site, teaches and encourages others and adds some life to the site. It just seems strange.

Whiteknight, we'd all be happier if Jack were back.
If Blogit would listen to the HUGE outpouring of support for him, the emails, the posts (I heard there were over 40 about him), and consider the number of bloggers who are or are considering leaving over this travesty of justice, they might reconsider.
But pride goeth before a fall. Not many can admit when they're wrong, so we'll see, if they are run like a well-run business, customer-oriented, responsive to their paying clients, and aware of their bottom line, or they have some other agenda.
All I know is I want .Dave BAAAAAAAAAAACK! It's just no fun here without him.

I mean, just in the short time I've been here I've seen one huge, knockdown dragout fight and nobody did ANYTHING about that. I've seen it on other sites, too.

I think that's the highest praise you can give a writer, Chris
for me anyway, to say it wil capture the feelings of many. Most of the time I'm trying to express my own feelings, but now, when it feels like a communal grieving, I wanted to say something for and to everyone.
As for your last question, you'd think so wouldn't you? I wonder why it didn't happen in this case. Why ban such a popular blogger with such a huge following for no justifiable reason that anyone can see?

this is beautiful
it will accurately catch the feelings of many - sad that it's a tribute to someone merely banished from a blog but whose absence is experienced on a much deeper level, what's wrong with giving warnings on the off-chance that a supposed misdeamour is accidental!
