Points taken, joab. And I love Pogo.

Re: Re: Quite alright, joab. History has a way of evening things out, as you say.
So many people mistake cacaphony for polyphony.  In music one is discordant the other harmonious balance. Poli-phony, however, is a different term.  Damn though, how many more times must we endure the superficial smiles and the politician's handshake before we get it through our heads that we are always being used?  We are little else to a professional politician and their spinners, than a valid "rationalization" of their methods.  We are the words that the politicians speak.  Just like Pogo, we have seen the enemy and it is us!  joab

And that terrible music they're playing, joab!!! Bring back swing and
Motown, for heaven's sake.

America has led the dance for a century now.

Saul, you have already anticipated a potential problem.  Too many bands, each playing their own "tune".  lot to think about . . . thanks.  joab

You're right, Glennb. It was supposed to be. But, then, we've had
Pol Pot, Idi Amin, Pinochet, Rwanda, the Taliban, Bosnia, Darfur, the neverending Congolese wars, and now Iraq (with that Cheney and Haliburton common denominator between the two Gulf Wars).  It never ends, Glennb, just moves to another location, takes on another name...

Quite alright, joab. History has a way of evening things out, as you say.
America has led the dance for a century now.  We'll see how the dance goes while we still have something to say about it, but don't look for us to lead much longer unless we can convince a few other dancers to start synchronizing their steps with ours...

Saul Relative,
The Bush, Reagan, Bush I, mounments have already been built! I am not sure the Cato quote applies to this form of evil. The common of all this evil is Dick Cheney. You tell me if it is even possible for a Nation to lose it's Soul this openly. Nazi Germany was supposed to be the last!

The Bush Administration Worried About Legacy

I sometimes think of how much of our nation has been founded on political misdirection; often initiated by schemes and machinations.  Yet, like some wobbly gyroscope, it manages to balance itself -- tilting first one way, then another -- always attempting to stay its upright course and purpose.

I also sometimes think of our nation as a gyroscope following the same perilous and shaky path as its mechanical counterpart, tilting, leaning, wobbling . . . but somehow . . . somehow . . . it manages to trace its course without losing its shaky balance.

And that thought extrapolates to the entire world.  We are on a wobbly gyroscope spinning through eons of space -- yet we act as lif we control matters. When our planet is little more than a bald rock with lichen and parasites .  .  . and an over-dramatic sense of self.  Long reply.  Sorry.   Joab

Oh, I think we're getting most of the truth now, SoulBuilder, just not
from anyone inside the Bush administration.  I beleive history will be as hard on Bush as quite a few have already been.  He's easily the worst president we've ever had, and that includes Coolidge and Nixon...

Saul R.....
Footprints on the sands of time, disappear! The histories to come will tell the truth, hopefully!
