Re: Robert Madang
Yes, may be your medication did the cure. Sometimes when you sleep, you might be having real breathing difficulties. This could have been transformed into a "nightmare".

RobertMadang, yes, I've had nightmares, very similar to these

They started when I was in college, about the age of 21.  I had just moved into an old Victorian house, into the attic.  The most frightening thing about them, was that in the dream, I felt like I was awake.

I would dream that some dark force was crushing me, so that I couldn't breathe, but I fought it with as much will as I could, until suddenly I was floating around the room.  I was still paralyzed though, just floating around the ceiling.  I was trying to reach for the light string, with my limp arm, I couldn't speak,  It was exhausting because I was trying as hard as i could. Eventually, I was able to pull the cord and at that moment, and I would recite the 23rd Psalm, although I wasn't a Christian (then),, be released and fall to the floor.

The dreams followed me through the years, changed depending on where I was living, eventually they stopped, but they scared me everytime I had one.

Yes, I have had the 'suffocating' nightmares. They went away though! Maybe the herbs cured it!

I used to dream that snakes covered the floor and foot of my bed when I was a child.  I've only had it a couple of times as an adult...Thank goodness...

I don't know if this can be considered a nightmare. It happened one night in a 5-star hotel in Kuala Lumpur. I was attending a 2-day-one-night seminar and my room-mate who lives in KL returned home leaving me alone that night. I was asleep when I felt someone sitting on me. I couldn't move nor could I shout. I was struggling in bed with that 'thing'. It was suffocating me. I didn't know for how long I had been struggling with it. I woke up sweating eventhough the AC was on. My watch showed 3pm. I dared not close my eyes to sleep but sat in bed until the next morning.

I never had recurring dreams/nightmares ... they're just one offs! ~ I rarely ever dream these days, could be because I'm getting old!
