That is true, A and B, The ranking is not so much on the number of posts only. It is also based on the Content, relevant content, good content, interesting content that attracts viewers. As you know, Google main strength is the ability to search relevant contents in a very short nano seconds over a wide number of blogs and sites simultaneously. Their priority in searching and viewing and assessing each site is primarily based on content relevancy, second on traffic volume and lastly on the number of posts and how often do you upgrade each site or blog. So Google does have something in their PageRank for advertisers to base on.
