Re: Do you get the feeling, joab, that we need a giant referendum and recall
saul relative . . . if something isn't done -- I am greatly concerned that grave misfortunes are ahead for us. But so many people have seemed to quit thinking on their own. So many people just don't seem to care. They have become the lotus eaters, the pipe-dreamers. I am really concerned that most of your excellent suggestion will first, be ignored as long as possible then, in the final analysis, be seen as the only way to go. IMO, time is the big factor here. joab

Do you get the feeling, joab, that we need a giant referendum and recall
in this nation? Kick all those bastards out and start all over with some new bastards that understand that they are there by the mandate of the people?

Re: I beleive we have a heightened sense of misdirected moral and/or
I was merely agreeing with your 1st post; and I also agree with this comment as well. Politicians will take almost any "purgative" to relieve their campaign of potential "constipation"; that's what Obama did. He "purged" any idea of flag/country being co-joined. To me, it had nothing to do with patriotism and everything to do with politics. As for Sean H., et al, I listen to their ilk and consider them to be a form of electrical interference. Static in -- static out.
Now let's sit back and listen to Hil's rationale for using Sandy Burglar as an "unpaid" advisor. The man is convicted of the theft of valuable documents from the National Archives; whereas Obama is merely guilty of "stealing" ideas. Billy Boy is making his own moves.

I beleive we have a heightened sense of misdirected moral and/or
ideological outrage in this country, joab. Now, if he'd pulled the pin off and said something asinine like, "I think patriotism is for mental incompetents.", then I think there would be room for such a heated debate. And I think that if Sean Hannity ever says an intelligent word that you'll soon see Jesus sliding in for his Second Coming...
