Rant on, joab. Take all the space you wish. The mark of a good citizen
is apprising others of wrongs in society, giving everyone the chance to address and redress them. You, joab, are doing the your duty as a good citizen... so rant on...

Re: Pawn or no, that idiot still has considerable power. His recklessness
You are 100% correct. I agree. Now I look at the calendar and check one more day as almost finished. And then I once again consider my options. And then I again realize that, what's waiting in the wings "ain't" that much better. Is it? Like swapping a chicken's tailbone for the neck because the neck seems "cleaner".
And, hey, I'm as disgusted as you at the way the system has now become a cycle of self-corruption, so corrosive to the touch that an honest person can't handle the political acid on their flesh. And the corrosive infection isn't only in D.C., examine the city halls and other municipal scandals across the nation.
Yes, saul, the system is very corrupt, and Bush is a product of the system, as are his ilk. I have a greater concern, as well. I now believe that we -- as in the general public -- are considered to be nothing more than "buy products" to be purchased and swapped like trading cards. No! So many of us are like the "geeks" in the carnivals of the 40s, who was usually a druggie or wino who traveled with the show and would, on cue, bite the head off a live. . . whatever. Disgusting but enthralling for a certain crowd. Sorry to have taken up so much space. joab

Pawn or no, that idiot still has considerable power. His recklessness
with a pen, invoking executive privilege and issuing vetoes to good legislation still hurts the country. January, 2009, cannot come too soon...

The Only Solution To Considering Our Partisan President
. . . is to quit considering him. I did, this morning. He no longer cares to be president and just wants to "care-take" our nation, while our rights are being eroded from within and without. Forget him. He's a useless pawn. All that is in motion now, will take years to repair. joab
