Personal Choice
I think it's just a matter of personal choice. It's not "mandatory" that he wear the pin. I don't think that should be held against his character.

Perhaps he's just trying to appeal to international masses?
as a reflex of his ideas for foreign policies? I think there are other ways.

Wavy, Tom Brokaw broke the glass partition on reporters taking sides. He's so left Dan Rather can't touch him.

Obama Showing Amaturish Judgment
Kingmi: My message to Mr. Obama is to wear the American flag lapel pin. It isn't ''false patriotism.'' This reminds me of a similar incident right after 09-11-01: Tom Brokaw of NBC News wasn't wearing an American flag lapel pin either. Someone asked him about it and he replied that he is a reporter and has to be objective. He can't take sides. Your country just gets bombed by terrorists and you can't be on the side of America. What a bunch of BS!
