The "Phony" Baloney in the Senate......
Alexandre Puskin is quoted as saying:  "In the presence of a fool, a wise man keeps silent."  Harry who?   joab

It's kind of like Chris Rock's question:
"Is the government looking for Osama Bin Laden or Barry Bonds?"

All these toothless "resolutions" of "condemnation" are so pointless and stupid, anyways.

Why can't everybody just, like, "take a chill pill"?

The first thing was,
I learned to forgive myself.
Then, I told myself,
"Go ahead and do whatever you want,
it's okay by me."

A round-robin of idiocy, Republicans and Democrats alike, there, Corbin.
All of them posturing for poltical power grabs, moves, and manipulations; none of them actually doing anything to realign or redefine the status quo into something more progressive and meaningful, more insightful and helpful in taking us confidently into this new millenium.  No, better to squander our brilliance, our initiative and motivation, and allow it fall dormant behind an ever increasing ineffectual Congress, a divided Supreme Court, and a more demanding and controlling president.  If Madison, Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin could all speak today, I am sure they would start by saying, "See here, simpletons, you're going about this in all but the correct manner..."

Watching what little I have been able to of this situation reminds me of just how stupid the senate has become....and stupid it is...

It is my fervent wish that our Congress does absolutely nothing.
No amendments to the Constitution, no loopholes, no pork barrels, no toothless bills about food safety, drug testing and safety, no taxpayer funded profits for big oil or big weapons sellers, no dicking around with programs that are actually doing some good for ordinary people. IF they have to do something to justify their existence, they should develop some backbone and stop authorizing exorbitant purchases of the latest killer doo-dad from the war machine. Our ability to destroy has exceeded our ability to recover. It's when to say when.
