Oh this has been a fascinating read today!  I'm glad I read the first one this morning and saved the next 2 til later.. I'm totally hooked.

That must have felt awful....

"I know those of you who have never done the online thing are probably thinking " You haven't even met the guy...how can you be so sure about this?!" - I can so relate to that... it took me quite a while to tell some people what was happening with me and the person we met (and we ended up getting engaged eventually!).  It's very hard to explain to some people - I'm always trying to explain that in a lot of ways, with someone you meet online, you can get a lot closer first... it's something to do with not meeting up straight away and, you know, going out and doing things together... where you maybe don't have such an intense period of just talking.  That's the thing - when it's online, you talk/email etc. that I think you often end up learning so much more about each other that in a way it's a *better* start to a relationship. Of course, when you do meet up eventually you just might not hit it off, but if you do.. you've got a really solid foundation already... that's definitely what I found anyway. I was closer to him than I had been in any of my previous relationships that hadn't started online.
