Re: Re: penney......
Ketchup? No! Check my posts on GM foods, maybe something there. Make your own sounds fine!

Re: penney......
I will. Satiating taste buds? The same as blinding them with science? The benefits of seafood aren't lost on me. I was in New Orleans a few years ago and felt in love with Gumbo. Ketchup (tomato sauce here) I'm not particularly fond of ever (unless I make it myself). Do you have an alternative?

Re: Re: penney......
The trick is to satiate the taste buds while promoting health. Oysters have zinc and other minerals. Needed is a spot of ginger, garlic, lemons and salt. You can be liberal with the rest! Ketchup (non-gm) in abundance, plus the other herbs. Let me know how it goes!

Re: penney......
You're devilish, how did you know seafood is soooo my weakness? I'll try your suggestion. Back in NZ we have a famous oyster, called a Bluff oyster that's plump and completely flavoursome. Grown in the depths of clear, unpolluted sea waters. They are to die for, as are the crayfish (lobster they call them in your part of the world). Thank you, I will try it.

penney......
Food, my favorite topic lately! I love to cook and conjure up my meals from what I have. Of course, curry is my #1 ingredient! But to your Question..... Back home we eat a lot of oysters, not the grown-up versions with masses of excrement! We have white jelly-like oysters free of any impurities. The challenge is to replicate those sauces here! Garlic, lemons, hot peppers, sugar, salt, chives, ginger, ketchup, cilantro, and a spanish herb called 'raito' or something so. The proportions have to be just right! Believe me, this mixture plus the oysters, are like a visit to culinary heaven!
