Thank you Robert, I am very senior, ten weeks away from my eighty second birthday. I am determined to go on travelling, but without the heavy luggage. Most of what I need I can buy on the way and discard before I move on. I am about to head in to town to investigate backpacks. GG

When I travelled in Europe not long ago, I found that hauling luggage around was one of the reasons that I'm not fond of travelling any more. There ought to be some way of just being free and easy.
