- Go to Wasps and Other Evil Stinging Things
I'll have to look it up, but there are a couple of ways to draw out the
poison right after you get stung, editormum. One is with baking soda and vinegar placed in a paste over the sting. The other requires placing a chewed gob of chewing tobacco over the sting in a poultice. I suggest the former. The latter is quite nasty. I personally haven't been stung since 1990. That year was the first time I'd been stung in about ten years. I'm allergic, tennis-ball size swelling allergic, not needle allergic. Well, I should say was. The last time I was stung in the hand and my hand looked like one of those toy baseball gloves, all puffy and balloon-like. I actually was troubled enough to get a benadryl shot. It's been 17 years and my resistance to the venom may be such that it might just kill me the next time. Damn flying bugs...

Wasps
That yellow-striped wasps are really venomous. Here in Malaysia, workers are paid some allowance to burn and destroy their nests at night. I know of a few who were stung to death.

Apparently there are many more kinds of wasps than I had realized. I think they must all be after you.

the poison has a tendency to gather for some reason in the joints, when stung close to a joint, for what reasons I am not sure. you might try mouth balls there cheap and effective naphthalene and camphore are the main ingredient these are fumigants camphore is actually used for a insect repellent, just open the box and throw all of them in there, when your knee heels, and run like hell
