Opheliablue
Sure! You may have to research what is available locally in terms of organic! Non-US food is on my priority list. So I will be shopping for Chinese , Indian, Spanish and West Indian supplies. Life changed in the 1990's when GM started to proliferate. Guess we have to adapt! Thanks!

Guy
This has indeed gone beyond the point of debate, at least in European countries. A recent meeting of scientists from 6 countries made the recommendation that no GM foods be allowed in the EU. This was upheld, except that some corn was allowed. Others have fought GM companies and won. I n my previous posts I did indicate that it was an attack by evil. The tests done have been on mice, sending humans to their deaths is not an option. Those in the know, adapt, hence the rise of organics. If you feel energized after a meal, I don't see why you should stop. The test is how you feel after a meal, or after consecutive days on the same kind of food. Thanks Guy!

Genetically modified foods

I'm naturally suspicious of many, if not most new products, that just sprout up without any fanfare. Flouridated water, GM food, irradiated food, teflon coated cooking utensils, aspartame, miracle weight loss pills, vaccinations, ets. but to be honest, the only ones of these that I have been convinced are public health menaces are aspartame and teflon. I could still be wrong about this, but until it is proven safe, I'll stick with good ol' tried and true, sugar and cast-iron, given a choice.

After quite a few years of scrutiny, no bad effects have been proven, to my satisfaction, about GM food. The same holds true with many other things I've been suspicious of. I always reccomend erring on the side of safety, but eventually one comes to believe that driving over the new bridge is safe. A heads up is always welcome. Thanks for bringing this into public debate.   Guy

FYS
These companies are often cross-linked because they share common directors. They can pretty much operate in any sector. They are big so they can sell cheaper. Poor people cannot do better. Organics are more expensive too. Life becomes one great juggling act! Thanks Fys!

this is a great resource.
Kraft/Nabisco/Phillip Morris...not surprised they get a !  My question is what the #(#*#(#&* is Phillip Morris, the cigarette company, doing in the food industry?  They killed how many people with their cigarettes?  now they're going to kill people with GM foods?
