Hey GypsyRed Head
there is a reason paths cross
especially when we're at a loss
to understand
why...
we don't always find
the answers we seek
to the questions
running around in our minds
but sometimes
we get lucky
when seemingly
out of the blue
someone we're not lookin' for
comes shinin' through
into our life
one whose words
to us are clear
in whose presence
we feel no fear
one whose company
comforts me
who takes my mind
off of my pain
one with nothing
at all to gain
one who likes me for myself...
really,
is there anything
in this world better than this:
to know that
in our time of
greatest trouble
one will suddenly appear
to walk with us a rocky road
who will help us carry our
heavy load
who'll stay with us
through thick and thin
and when we get too weary
and our pain too much to bear
too tired to walk
that rocky path
then suddenly
someone appears
and wipes away
whatever
tears are on our face
and we feel within our heart
the grace
of this one
who will see us to the end
this special one
who we call friend...

Red..................
You write wonderfully. You make me an eavesdropper at your outings. Your honesty shines as does your approach to living situations. Please give us more!

it's obvious that he is indeed lonely and he needs a companion...someone to replace his loss.
