I have posted a few thoughts on this
myself. Remember, the United States doesn't have to go to war with Iran directly. It is already fighting a proxy war with the Shia militias that are being financed, trained and supplied by Iran. The nuclear problem can be solved with an Israeli surgical airstrike -- beleive me, their intelligence on Iran is far superior to ours and it is in their immediate best interest to ensure Iran never gets a nuclear weapon. The Knesset has been meeting on this very same matter coninuously ove the past year. Israel may take the brunt of ire for a "takeout" strike by its Arab neighbors, but most of them are Sunni and have no real interest in seeing a resurgent Shia Persia. Muslims will use this as just another reason to hate Israel and, indirectly, the United States (Israel's puppetmaster in their way of thinking). But this is a workable option that will probably come to pass within the next six months or year.
