Re: GlobetrottingGranny
Thank you TAPS. There will eventually be a book about my meanderings, if I stay sane long enough.

Re: From one granny to another
Let me tell you a secret, Cynthia. I HAVE NEVER RETIRED. I tried several times but there was always something that had to be done. That's what is keeping me going now. My latest crusade is persuading old people to resist rest homes. More of that later. Thanks for your input.

Re: GlobetrottingGranny
When I learn to add photographs to this blog I shall let you all see my crib. It began life as a workman's hut on the Waitaki River Hydro electric scheme pre WWII. It's very basic but beats a retirement home hands down.

From one granny to another
I was so pleased to find your excellent travel writing. I am also a granny but a generation younger than yourself. I'm not yet retired, but have traveled a lot on business and I lived in Europe for 5 years. You are an inspiration and I hope my energy and curiosity remain as active as yours is.

GlobetrottingGranny
What a fascinating person you are.  I just read all of your posts and what I find most interesting and would like to read more about is your fishing crib on the Waitaki River.  I'm not really sure what a fishing crib is, at least where abouts you would live in one.  Welcome to Blogit.  Looking forward to reading more.

Re: I look forward to reading the account! I too like to travel on my own,
When I do it alone I have more adventures and a greater sense of satisfaction.

I look forward to reading the account! I too like to travel on my own,
rather than with a guided tour.  I always get more out of it when I'm going for it on my own.
