This is a well done article.Yet, the Darfur situation is more aptly equated to the Holocaust. As a nation of moral beings, indeed the world at large, we should not sit idly and fail to react to such atrocities. The invasion of Iraq is an entirely different situation and I am pleased you oppose it, as I do. The preemptive doctrine is uniquely this Administration's. Such doctrine may come back to bite us. I doubt any other administration would have been in Iraq. Recall the former Bush's posture on this.
I do not know that your conclusion about Jane Fonda is correct, yet if such conclusion is supported, I agree with you. Please remember, however, that the Constitutional right to oppose, to protest, is the distinction that separates the United States from the rest of the world.
