You have provided some answers I've had...

since seeing the stage production of EVITA a couple of times, and the film of it--wondering what the greater context of the theater was.  But I have never gotten around to looking it up. 

Nice work--very thorough and journalistic--ie, offering various sides of the picture, as a neutral observer.
